The source logic driver is a must-have tool for multi-room installations. Once configured, it handles switching events in a logical and resilient manner. It removes the back-end management of source and zone statuses, and allows installers to concentrate on the look-and-feel of the remote control application for their client.

Programming a multi-room installation is time-consuming and notoriously error-prone. Switching an input source to an output zone is a simple task, provided both source and zone devices are already switched on. But what if you have to switch one or the other on first? How long does it take for the devices to warm up? Is the source audio only, display only, or both? When an output zone is switched off by a user, what happens to its source: is it being used in another zone, or should it be switched off after some time? When you add into the mix multiple users with multiple remote controls, potentially triggering switching events in different zones at the same time, then the programming 'flag' count grows exponentially and becomes unmanageable.

Concept Clarity's source and zone logic driver takes the headache out of the switching logic. It tells you when a switching event is requested and when to switch devices on and off. As an installer you only need to write the specific device commands in 'system macros' and attach them to the event. Also, as the 'system macros' are stored on the central RTI processor, it makes them easier to maintain and re-use in other applications, saving time and effort.
